Arcadyan participated in the 2023 Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) climate information disclosure and received a B Management Level rating in Climate Change.
The CDP questionnaire focuses on the disclosure of corporate greenhouse gas emissions and the management of climate-related impacts. In 2023, over 23,000 companies globally participated in the CDP questionnaire, with 624 companies from Taiwan, marking a 22% increase from the previous year. This growth highlights the rising importance of climate issues within the industry.
In addressing climate issues, Arcadyan actively participates in international initiatives and actions. In addition to designing products from a circular economy perspective, the company is also reducing carbon emissions across its processes and supply chain.
In 2023, Arcadyan set Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals, declaring 2022 as the base year. The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1+2) by 2040 and net-zero indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 3) by 2050. Arcadyan has formulated a comprehensive strategy to address climate change, which includes implementing the ISO 50001 energy management system, increasing the use of renewable energy, developing low-carbon products, adopting low-carbon transportation routes, and strengthening low-carbon supply chain management. By enhancing energy efficiency and focusing on low-carbon product development, Arcadyan is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating the impact of climate change.
