Arcadyan Receives "Excellent" Rating in Temperature Rising Index for Pathways (TRIPs) and Achieves 1.5°C Corporate Temperature Control Target.

Arcadyan is actively implementing climate action with notable carbon reduction performance, earning an "EXCELLENT" rating in the "Temperature Rising Index for Pathways" (TRIPs) and receiving the "1.5°C Certificate" on June 4th.

In October 2022, Arcadyan signed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, becoming the first network communications equipment manufacturer in Taiwan to join the SBTi. It is also the only domestic company in this industry to set a Net-Zero Target and sign the Business Ambition for 1.5°C commitment.

The "Temperature Rising Index for Pathways" (TRIPs) is jointly released by CommonWealth Magazine and the Center for Corporate Sustainability Impact at Tunghai University. This evaluation uses global warming scenarios published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and applies the Absolute Global Temperature Potential (AGTP) model to assess corporate temperature scores. By simulating warming data based on a company's self-set carbon reduction and net-zero targets, it reflects the future emission reduction pathway temperature. Arcadyan's temperature rating calculated through this model is 1.422°C, lower than the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C control target and significantly below the average temperature rating of 2.79°C for Taiwan's manufacturing industry.

In terms of organizational (Scope 1 and 2) carbon reduction, Arcadyan actively promotes energy transformation by implementing a smart energy monitoring system, continuously optimizing plant equipment to improve energy efficiency, and increasing the use of renewable energy through solar power systems and the purchase of renewable energy certificates. For Scope 3 carbon reduction, Arcadyan's products follow the BS 8001 Circular Economy Guidelines and the ISO 14006 Ecodesign Management System, considering environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle—from raw material procurement, production, packaging, transportation, consumer use, to disposal and recycling. Arcadyan strengthens green design with a focus on low-toxicity materials, energy-efficient design, ease of disassembly and recycling, and minimal packaging to achieve optimal eco-effectiveness.

Additionally, Arcadyan collaborates with key suppliers through the "Go Green with Arcadyan" project to gradually reduce the carbon emissions of suppliers' organizations and products. Arcadyan will continue to uphold sustainable operations, working with customers and suppliers on the path to low-carbon transformation, and remain committed to the global responsibility of limiting warming to 1.5°C.
