Arcadyan participated in 2024 Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) evaluation and was rated B_ Management Level in the "Climate Change", "Water", and "Forest" projects, demonstrating Arcadyan's active actions and transparent disclosure in climate governance.
The CDP focuses on the disclosure of corporate greenhouse gas emissions information and its management measures for climate change risks and opportunities. In 2024, the number of companies participating in the CDP assessment worldwide exceeded 25,000, and the number of participating companies in Taiwan has reached more than 700, with an annual growth rate of more than 12%, indicating that the importance of climate issues in the industrial chain continues to increase.
Arcadyan continues to address the challenges of climate change with a forward-looking perspective and actively responds to international initiatives and actions. In addition to designing products from a circular economic perspective, Arcadyan also promotes carbon reduction from multiple aspects such as processes, operations and supply chains. In 2023, Arcadyan officially set the Science Based Targets (SBTi), taking 2022 as the base year, Arcadyan commit to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) within the organization by 2040, and net zero indirect emissions (Scope 3) outside the organization by 2050.
To enhance climate resilience and carbon reduction capabilities, Arcadyan formulated a diverse and comprehensive climate action strategy, including introducing ISO 50001 Energy Management System, increasing the use of renewable energy, developing low-carbon and energy-efficient products, introducing low-carbon transportation routes, and strengthening low-carbon supply chain management. Among them, Arcadyan promoted "Go Green with Arcadyan" project and worked with 14 suppliers to implement carbon management. Through specific actions such as product carbon footprint inventory, packaging material optimization, and logistics carbon reduction, it achieved organizational carbon reduction of 107,644 tons CO2e and product carbon reduction of 9,366 tons CO2e in 2024, significantly improving the Arcadyan’s greenhouse gas reduction performance in Scope 3.
