As geopolitical tensions intensify, extreme weather events increase, and global carbon tariff mechanisms accelerate, supply chain competitiveness is shifting from a focus on “low cost” to “resilience, reliability, and sustainability.” On December 12, Arcadyan’s Executive Vice President Mike Lu was invited to speak at the “Resilience Wins: Thriving and Upgrading Under Stress” forum, co-hosted by Chunghwa Telecom and Business Weekly. Representing the front line of the supply chain, Mike shared how Arcadyan is transforming its operations to integrate sustainability and digitalization as core drivers of corporate competitiveness.
Mike emphasized that Arcadyan has evolved from reactively responding to customer requirements to proactively building a resilient supply chain powered by Digital × Sustainability. Arcadyan has established energy and carbon data governance frameworks across its Taiwan headquarters and Vietnam manufacture center. In 2023, Arcadyan launched the Go Green with Arcadyan supplier decarbonization program, achieving 106,408 metric tons of CO₂e reduction through standardized carbon accounting, digitalized data processes, and collaborative improvement with suppliers. These achievements have earned Arcadyan a place on the Carbon Competitiveness Top 100 list for two consecutive years.
Beyond supply chain governance, Arcadyan also incorporates product-level innovations to help customers reduce operational emissions. Its product feature Smart Power Management, enabling dynamic power adjustment and reducing energy consumption by 20~30%. Arcadyan is also promoting circular materials, targeting 75% of the customers adoption of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastics by 2025, thereby reducing emissions from the product life cycle at the source.
“Sustainability is not a cost—it’s the starting line for the next era of competitiveness. Acting early and acting deeply allows us to turn external shocks into reasons why customers choose Arcadyan” Mike stated. He noted that in today’s volatile global environment, customers prioritize reliability over price; the critical question is whether suppliers can continue delivering on time despite disruptions. Looking ahead, Arcadyan will continue strengthening supply chain resilience and advancing sustainability-driven innovation to enhance organizational robustness and market competitiveness, progressing toward a more flexible, transparent, and sustainable global operating model.
