Arcadyan participated in the design of the Next-Gen 5G Home Networking Ecosystem, which has been recognized with the prestigious 2026 iF DESIGN AWARD and stood out in the Product Design / Communication Devices category. Centered on next-generation home networking applications, the design combines a clean and streamlined appearance, modular design, repairable structure, and low-carbon material application, demonstrating Arcadyan’s integrated capabilities in communication product design and sustainable innovation.
Home networking devices have traditionally been maintained through “replacement” rather than “repair,” which may lead to material waste and electronic waste when the housing or a single component is damaged. This award-winning design incorporates “repairability” into the core of product development. Through a sliding housing design, service personnel can quickly and non-destructively access internal components, supporting the independent replacement of the housing and key modules. This improves maintenance efficiency, reduces the risk of housing scrapping, and extends product lifespan.
In terms of material and lifecycle strategy, the products adopt 95% PCR ABS+PC plastic and 100% PCR aluminum heat sinks. By extending product lifecycle, reducing housing scrap rates, and introducing a paperless installation process, the design reduces the use of virgin materials, paper consumption, and carbon emissions. According to the product carbon reduction assessment, each device can reduce approximately 3.36 to 4.81 kgCO₂e, demonstrating the tangible contribution of product design to the circular economy and low-carbon transition.
